2022 Recruitment

As we continue to rebuild following the pandemic, Red Wellies is excited to announce further vacancies for experienced and highly qualified practitioners to join our fabulous team.

As of March 1st 2022, we have the following vacancies:

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator

  • Apprentice Childcare Practitioner

  • 1:1 SEN Support

We are keen to support level 3 candidates through a distance-learning Foundation Degree or level 5 qualification, or graduates without an education background  through the Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT). We are passionate about continuing professional development, which is why we already have six qualified level 6 and above graduates and teachers.

Experienced NVQ Level 3 Childcare Practitioners

Are you an expert in Child Development? Do you love seeing children learn and thrive in a caring and nurturing environment? Do you regard children being outdoors as being vital to their welfare and development? If so, then working for Red Wellies might just be the career choice for you - we offer both full-time and part-time positions and can be flexible to your needs around your own childcare or busy life - all we ask is that you work around our sessions (click here). Full time means 40+ hours per week, normally on four full days (between the hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm). Long day staff are offered a paid mid-morning break. All other staff receive a 20-30 minute unpaid lunch break, a dedicated staff room and your own locker.

Do you want a career in childcare? Even without any experience you can be paid from £5.01 per hour for 30 hours per week or more, and we pay you to study! Qualify with a Level 3 in 18 months and then you have the option to further your qualifications as above. Have a look at the PDF summary and then you can apply at:

New Staff

So we've offered you a job? That's great! Here's where you will be able to find lots of lovely forms to fill in before you start. If you need any help, just ask Emily, our Office Manager. You will have to put your name on each form you fill out so we know who the information refers to. Red Wellies Childcare takes the safeguarding of children in our care very seriously and we always take steps to verify the information you give us. By completing these forms you are giving us permission to check the data and contact your references. You will not be allowed to work unaccompanied with any children before you have completed these forms to our satisfaction and have applied for and received a DBS check at a level that is appropriate to your role.
